For a more relaxed pace, consider hiring Gull – a beautiful 15ft classic clinker launch. Quietly powered by electricity, she comfortably seats up to 8 and is easy to helm. If you’re experienced, take her out as a bareboat charter, or let a local skipper take the helm while you unwind. Gull can even collect you from Myrtle’s own pontoon and drop you back at the end of your trip. Pack a picnic and head upriver to a tranquil oasis (tide permitting), or drift downstream and enjoy the sights and sounds of river life.

Thrill on the Solent

Looking for something faster? Privately charter a skippered RIB and blast across the Solent to the Isle of Wight for a memorable lunch by the sea. Popular destinations include The Hut at Colwell Bay, The George in Yarmouth, or The Terrace, also in Yarmouth.

Hop on the River Taxi

A quirky local favourite – the pink river taxi – can collect you directly from Myrtle’s pontoon (tide and operating hours permitting). Just mention Myrtle Cottage, next to the Jolly Sailor Pub. Take a short scenic trip downriver to the charming historic village of Hamble-le-Rice, where you’ll find excellent gastro pubs, cafés, and independent shops.
